Taper's Notes

"Thanks to "Tom Joad" from the Jay Farrar message board I finally am able to bring to you a wild Bottle Rockets show from the Strassenfest. Pretty much a dream setlist with a fiery performance to match. This was my last analog recording before getting the JB3.

The crowd around me was not too cooperative, lots of aimless chatting surrounded me. I moved around quite a bit to try to escape, alas to little avail. It is a pretty nice recording, a bit heavy on the bass. The vocals are low the first couple of tracks but that is due to the PA mix. In my car, it sounds like crap because of all the bass, but on my home theater it rocks big time.

"TJ" did the transfer and I'm not really sure what techniques he used, he is a bit elusive but this would not be out there if it was not for him. I think I have all of the titles correct, please post any corrections. I don't have an idea on the last song... Jeff and Roy BS is my buddy and I talking about getting shut out on getting a video of the show. I think TJ included it because right at the end of the conversation (end of 'intermission') Brian begins to introduce first song of 2nd set."
