The Transcendental Blues Tour Compilation Project
This compilation includes (to the best of my knowledge) every track performed by Steve and the Dukes during the Transcendental Blues tour, with four exceptions - Everyone's Trying To Be My Baby from the unannounced Lakeside Lounge show appears not to circulate, whilst a solo acoustic version of Valentine's Day from Nonantola, Italy and rare (unique?) outings for Open Your Window and My Uncle Used To Love Me But She Died in Atlanta have only just come into my possession.
Thanks to everybody who helped me out with this in one way or another, including (but not limited to):
Seth Avant, Paul Beneker, Frits Bos, Paul Docker, Jörn Gattermann, Bill Hagenmaier, Clint Harris, Paul Higham, Dave Hill, Bill Hodgson, John Jones, Stephen Little, Ken Lotterman, Dave Moore, "Quos", Joyce Richards, Mike Roberts, Thom Rosenblum, Rodney Rowland, Godfrey Smart, Geoff Spence, Craig Statham, Paolo Troiani, Bill Vader, Steve Wills
... and all the denizens of the SteveEarleTradeList, Exit0_2 and SteveEarleChat yahoogroups. I'd also like to extend my gratitude to the anonymous tapers without whom none of this great material would be available. Finally, the main note of appreciation should rest with the perpetrators:
Steve Earle, Kelly Looney, Eric "Roscoe" Ambel, Will Rigby
... and the formidable supporting cast:
Sheryl Crow, Patrick Earle, Stacey Earle, Dan Gillis, Emmylou Harris, Jack Ingram, Liz Kane, Yvonne Kane, Robert Earl Keen, Mary Shannon, Sharon Shannon and The Mondriaan Quartet (Annette Bergman, Edwin Blankenstijn, Eduard van Regteren Altena, Jan Erik van Regteren Altena).
Note: Burning this compilation will require 80min CDRs, at least for discs 1 and 3.
