Taper's Notes

Here's a group that I was barely aware of when I went to their gig here in Rochester, but was so won over by their wonderful songs and playing that I bought 2 of their CDs right after the gig, and another within a week.....I can now see why even Richard Thompson praises the songwriting talents of Jez Lowe, and their showmanship shined, despite the small turnout....my only regrets are that only 37 minutes worth of the show survive after an unfortunate editing mishap, and that there are occasional bouts of loud yakking morons heard, being too boisterous over at the bar......anyhow, what survives I hope will be quite enjoyable for those into contemporary British Folk Music.
