A good soundboard from the 1982 solo acoustic tour, albeit to a fairly muted audience. Richard sounds much more settled after the intermission, drawing parallels between Willie Clancy's version of Banish Misfortune and The Sex Pistols and playing Genesis Hall by request (introduced as a Fotheringport Confusion track). The brief instrumental version of The Cuckoo's Nest is played for the same insistent Fairport fan.
The soundcheck is also included on this recording, at the end of the first disc.
The sound is good, although there's some adjusting of the recording levels during the first track. The soundcheck is in slightly lower quality than the rest of the gig, but it's an interesting listen, with a raw version of Withered And Died (where remembering to change the gender of the narrator is still awkward) and an unusual outing for the Everly Brothers song So Sad (covered by John Prine, amongst others).
