Recorded live at The Circus in Cannes, France on January 26, 1984.

Possibly the last of the Big Band shows, an appearance at the MIDEM "International Music Market" - basically a festival for music industry insiders which serves a comparable purpose to the more famous film festival held in the same town. It's a great performance, opening with a fairly aggressive, almost shouted version of A Poisoned Heart... and continuing in the same vein.

The gig was broadcast on the radio and televised, so one of those two is probably the source for this great sounding boot. The setlist I've got for the show includes The Wrong Heartbeat as the opening number, which is unfortunately missing from this recording. Pennsylvania 6-5000 also fades out at the end. I'm unsure whether there are more complete copies out there.
