in Ames, Iowa on April 21, 1987 (early show)
15-29, 34-40
Recorded live, same date and venue (late show).
English folk musician, Richard Thompson, was asked how many clubs he played in the mid-seventies that are still around today. He responded, "One place in Dublin and the M-Shop." (from The Maintenance Shop website)

Although a soundboard recording, the mix for the early show is far from ideal, with guitar very up-front and vocals slightly lost in the mix. Oddly enough, these problems aren't present for the late show. Both gigs are nevertheless highly enjoyable, with eclectic setlists including The Fool (later to be resurrected for the 1,000 Years Of Popular Music shows) and the first Meet On The Ledge outside of Cropredy since the early 80s.
