A joint appearance at St. Ann's (whose concert venue has now relocated to
St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn) with the
former Talking Heads frontman. Each performs a solo acoustic set, before uniting on the encores;
four tracks which had been rehearsed/soundchecked before the gig.
A partial recording was available on the commerical bootleg An Acoustic Evening
(released the same year, artwork included here), but the complete soundboard has now surfaced
after having been kept under wraps by a handful of traders for the last decade or more!
There's the occasional light "pop", but nothing too drastic and the sound is otherwise exemplary.
I've augmented it with the soundcheck (the first four tracks), which I obtained earlier this year,
also from the same soundboard source.
