"I'm going to play a couple of Fairport numbers now, for fun. Because I enjoy playing them. Those poor bastards have got to play them every night, for the last 35 years. Let's see whose performance is the most spontaneous, shall we? This is a song I wrote with Dave Swarbrick" (before Sloth)
A similar setlist to the St. Paul gig a fortnight earlier, with the main variations being Cold Kisses replacing How Will I Ever Be Simple Again?, Can't Win being added and Happy Days And Auld Lang Syne instead of Word Unspoken, Sight Unseen. It's a good performance, but not quite as jovial and relaxed as the St. Paul show, which probably has the edge (marginally).
This recording was labelled a soundboard by the person who sent it, but you can hear people next to the taper at certain points. Nonetheless, it's an understandable mistake - this is an exceptionally good audience recording. Its only flaw is the presence of sixteen and a half minutes of silence at the end of the second disc, but I can edit this out of any copies I make.
