An essential compilation of Gillian Welch's early material, along the lines of the Dylan set I Was So Much Younger Then. The following notes for Disc 4 were included with the set:

"The audience is fairly respectful for the first six songs but then the chatter gets louder as the gig progresses. Made using a handheld walkman recorder at a pub in SF in 1994/5. Gillian sings much of her oeuvre from that time, accompanied by a friend on fiddle."

On that disc The L&M Don't Stop Here Anymore is cut before the end.
